What is a floral elixir according to Dr. Bach?

Dr. Edward Bach (1886-1936) assumed that certain negative emotional states can have a detrimental effect on our bodily well-being. Thus, rather than directly relieving a physical dysfunction, he advocated the restoration of a psychological balance based on the use of 38 different flowers with harmonizing and positive strength.

This method does not claim to be the solution to all the physical or moral inconveniences that can be encountered but it can play a significant supporting role in case of emotional imbalance.

The Ladrôme flower essences are elaborated in the rules of art from flowers harvested in wild places on the blanks of Mount Canigou and Drôme in France.

Overview

This flower heals people who are very critical and intolerant of others and who are also unable to see or appreciate the good side of things. They do not help anyone and the notion of compassion or solidarity is foreign to them. The Oak marks reflect the negative states of the hypercritical-intolerant, but also the possibility of bringing out positive states, such as the ability to see beauty and goodness in their surroundings. This type of person becomes more understanding of the affairs of others and therefore more tolerant. It is difficult to improve the character of these arrogant people without resorting systematically to the floral remedy of Oak. These people must be sensitized and fascinated by the majestic grandeur of this gigantic tree, straight and very ramified. The beech seems to embody the will power of a dictator whose sole purpose is to enslave the gregarious population to his own ideas.

The formal and chromatic characteristics of the flowers confirm Beech's capacity for intolerance and arrogance in intelligent human understanding. The female flowers have a spherical shape that falls down to remind the way of thinking and acting of those who (according to the intolerant people) do not live properly.

The green color brings a spring renewal to those who are very critical and intolerant. The male flowers reflect the ambition to walk in new ways for those who are conscientious, indulgent and tolerant of the faults of others. In the chromatic landscape of Beech, it is green that predominates. It may indicate a certain mental flexibility that predisposes to improvement in a conscientious person, this transformation is accompanied by a high self-esteem, in its positive aspect, and a rejection of all the negative aspects, such as the arrogance, authoritarianism, dogmatism, intolerance, too good self-image.
