Kaolin, feldspar and quartz, which are normally used for porcelain clay, are mixed with a minimum of 35% bone ash. This creates the strongest type of porcelain that exists and creates the specific ivory colour. Due to its composition, bone porcelain can be fired at a temperature of approximately 1250°C.
