PLANT EXTRACTS:
A QUALITY EXTRACTION PROCESS
The extracts of Ladrôme laboratory fresh plants come from a traditional know-how. They meet the manufacturing and control requirements of the Pharmacopoeia, from the manufacturing process to the conformity analysis of the final product. After the harvest, the plants are transformed: finely crushed, they macerate for at least three weeks in a mixture of water and organic alcohol; this mixture is stirred daily. This process makes it possible to extract the maximum of substances that are soluble in water and alcohol, the alcohol serving at the same time as a preservative. The solution thus obtained is decanted and filtered to obtain the plant extract which will then be packaged at the production site in Drôme.
Unlike modern chemical medicine that uses only isolated active ingredients, herbal medicine uses parts of plants or whole plants that act thanks to the multiplicity of their active components (called totum).
A plant extract or mother tincture is a hydroalcoholic solution concentrated in the active ingredients of a medicinal plant. After harvest, fresh plants are immediately macerated. Finely crushed, they macerate for at least three weeks in organic alcohol. The mixture is stirred daily. The solution thus obtained is then pressed, decanted and filtered to obtain the plant extract.
Each plant extract thus has particular properties due to its unique composition of active ingredients!

This particular color is visible from May to November, when the flower head is flowered and therefore ready to be harvested. It is a particularly perennial herb with a thick stump and a root that can go down to 50 cm in the soil. Its leaves, very appreciated for the preparations, are arranged in rosettes and distributed unequally, in triangle. It is a plant that is found throughout the year, especially in fields and meadows, but also in damp places.

Its properties:
The use of dandelion as a medicinal plant has its origins in Greek antiquity. However, the first real uses of dandelion date back to the 16th century, when doctors used it to treat kidney diseases. Dandelion was then used to treat gallbladder disorders, to lower fever, to fight against water retention, rheumatism or skin problems. Dandelion was introduced by Dr. Leclerc with regard to its benefits on the liver and bile ducts. It should be known that in China this plant was even seen as a remedy to relieve patients with cancer or hepatitis.
Internal use of dandelion

- Stimulates and soothes the liver: Dandelion is helpful against liver problems, liver engorgement and gall bladder problems.
- Purifying virtues: acts in case of constipation, difficult digestion, excess cholesterol or even in case of lack of appetite.
- Prevents kidney problems: urinary or hepatic insufficiency, biliary disorders.

External use of dandelion
- Fight against cutaneous manifestations: dermatitis, skin diseases. Fights damaged and damaged skin: corns, leeks, warts.

Usual therapeutic indications
- Positive effects of dandelion on the digestive and hepatobiliary systems. Indeed, dandelion leaves are known to contain minerals and vitamins in large quantities. They can also treat lack of appetite, stomach or urinary disorders.

Other therapeutic indications demonstrated
- Against digestive disorders, dandelion can also act as an anti-inflammatory. It has a liver function. Dandelion has another therapeutic virtue: the diuretic effect, that is to say that it makes it possible to treat arterial hypertension, heart failure or, more rarely, hyperkalemia (which corresponds to an excess of potassium in the blood plasma). Enzymatic stimulation of the liver and kidneys.

Recommended use:
25 to 30 drops diluted in a drink, 3 times a day (or 3.8 ml per day), for 3 weeks.
By mixing the dandelion with the pilosella and cherry tails, we obtain an ideal preparation to cure the water retention. To treat urinary stones, the mixture dandelion and orthosiphon is an excellent choice. For a simple detox cure, a preparation based on dandelion, black radish and elderberry will do the trick. Finally, it may be interesting to combine dandelion, which has proven diuretic properties, with other plants with the same virtues.

Cons-indications:
In case of pregnancy, breastfeeding, heart disease or kidney disease, this kind of cure is not to be considered. In addition, all persons allergic to plants of the family Asteraceae (such as daisy) must consult a doctor beforehand. No other specific toxicity is attributed to dandelion.

Precautions for use:
Dandelion does not have any special precautions for use, except in the case of gallstones, where it is preferable to meet a doctor first. On the other hand, it is advisable not to use the dandelion in continuous cure throughout the year, but rather to make a few days or weeks during the changes of seasons.
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Keep out of reach of children. Not recommended for children under 6 years. A dietary supplement can not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
