Distilled organ: leaves

Manufacture: traditional distillation with water vapor. It takes 100 kg of tea tree leaves to get 1 to 2 liter of essential oil.

Composition:
Melaleuca Ericifolia leaf oil.

Origin: Australia / South Africa / Zambia / Kenya.

Botanical: The tea tree is a tree with thorns, always green and has a bark shaped strips or straps. It can grow up to a height of 5 m. Its narrow, lanceolate leaves arranged alternately along the stem are bright green. The tea tree is covered with white flowers, very fragrant, spikes, which are reminiscent of cotton flowers. Belonging to the botanical family of myrtaceae, such as clove or eucalyptus, it enjoys generous sunshine as well as wetlands. Australian natives used these leaves to make poultices that they applied to wounds to treat infections. At the start of the Second World War, the Australian government offered a bottle of tea tree essential oil in every Australian Army and Navy pharmacy kit. Recommended use: All routes of use are permitted even if the dermal route is to be diluted due to irritating skin compounds.
Dermal route: preferably diluted in a carrier vegetable oil. Ability to apply pure except on sensitive skin (test with a single drop at the bend of the elbow).
- Acne, 1 drop on each button Morning and evening after washing until acne disappears.
- Fungus mycosis: 2 pure drops on mycosis: 3 times a day until disappearance of mycosis.
- Infected wound: 1 drop on wound, 3 times a day until the wound has disappeared.
- Acne: dilute 1 to 2 drops in the day cream and the cleansing milk.
- Hair: dilute 1 to 2 drops in the rinsing water to make the hair shine.
- Oily skin: dilute 1 to 2 drops in the day cream, in the cleansing milk, in a tonic lotion

- Angina, sore throat: 2 to 3 drops diluted and agitated in warm water, gargle.

In massage:
- Venous congestion: dilute to 20% in a few drops of a carrier oil (ie 2 ml of essential oil and 8 ml of vegetable oil). For a local massage.
- Infections of the genital sphere (cystitis, herpes, mycosis, vaginitis): application by the cutaneous way, to 20% in a support oil, with which one massages the lower abdomen.
- Bronchitis: cutaneous use, in massage diluted to 20%, along the spinal column
- Influenza: cutaneous use, massage diluted to 20% in a vegetable oil (back, limbs, chest)
- Otitis: 5% massage in a carrier oil (4 to 5 drops in a teaspoon of vegetable oil) behind the affected ear. It is important not to enter the ear.
- Radiotherapy: dilute to 20% in a carrier oil and apply to the area treated with radiotherapy (ie 2 ml of essential oil and 8 ml of vegetable oil).

In diffusion or olfaction or inhalation:
- Sinusitis: vaporization and inhalation
- Rhinopharyngitis and colds. : Inhalation.

Inhalation: 1 to 2 drops in a bowl of hot water.

In diffusion for the disinfection of the premises and to boost the immune defenses

In domestic use, the essential oil of tea tree is recognized for these antiseptic properties because, it promotes the disinfection of the grounds, cleans the surfaces to be cleaned and the linen.
- To clean the linen: Add 10 drops of Tea Tree essential oil to 50 ml of your laundry preparation.
- Cleaning the surfaces (sink, bathroom ...): 5 to 10 drops of essential oil of Tea tree + 1 tablespoon of baking soda on a sponge.
- For household floors or sanitary: Add 10 drops of tea tree essential oil to 50 ml of your laundry preparation.

Contraindication :

- Do not use in pregnant or lactating women

- Do not use in children under 6 years

- People with epilepsy must seek medical advice before use (high-dose epileptogenic risk).
- The essential oil of Tea tree is irritating for the skin, so it must be diluted in a vegetable oil before any cutaneous application (20% of essential oil with 80% of vegetable oil).
- This essential oil presents a risk of contact dermatitis. Test it before using it regularly.
- Keep Tea Tree essential oil away from light, as oxidation of paracymene may cause skin irritation.
- Orally, do not over-dose the essential oil of Tea Tree. In case of overdose, it can cause temporary confusion and loss of motor coordination.
