The basis of a biodegradable plastic is the half-life, i. e. the natural decomposition which is the break down of raw organic materials into compost must occur within 6 months. These lids comply with this EU standard.
How do I care for it?
It's easy. Remove the rubber tights, the cork and the bioplastic lid. What remains is the glass bottle. You can put it into dishwasher or clean it by hand. The lid can be cleaned by hand.
